Past President of Peninsula Light Company, Signo currently chairs the Goals and Long- Range Planning Committee and serves on the Policy Committee. He is a Credentialed Cooperative Director certified by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and has earned his Board Leadership Certificate. He also serves on the Northwest Public Power Association Board of Trustees.
With extensive administrative experience, Signo is dedicated to helping guide the company toward innovation, efficiency, and technological advancements. He takes pride in the Company’s recent and ongoing achievements, including:
- Keeping rates affordable while improving system reliability and managing increased costs from the Bonneville Power Administration
- Providing exceptional service to its members
- Maintaining strong employee relations and fostering a positive workplace culture
- Equipping Members with education, tools, and resources to help them reduce and efficiently manage their energy consumption.
A Gig Harbor native, Signo graduated from Peninsula High School. He earned a B.A. in Finance from the University of Puget Sound and pursued postgraduate studies in Finance and Marketing at the University of West Florida. He also served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
Returning to Gig Harbor, Signo built a career in supermarket administration, marketing, and real estate. With his wife, Kathy, he owned and operated the 56th Street Red Apple Market in Tacoma, served on the Board of Directors for Red Apple Markets Inc. and was Director of Advertising for Associated Grocers.
Signo and his wife reside in Lakebay and have one grown son. He is a member of Harbor Covenant Church, where he has served as elder and treasurer. He is also a member of the Gig Harbor Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.
