PenLight offers a 25% discount for low-income disabled members. Fees and miscellaneous charges are not discounted. To qualify you must be a PenLight member for at least six consecutive months. You must have proof of disability, provide proof of household income, meet income guidelines and live within PenLight’s service territory year-round. Low-Income Seniors

ProjectHELP
Sometimes a little help can make a big difference. ProjectHELP is PenLight’s member-funded assistance program designed to provide temporary financial support to qualifying members who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship and need assistance paying their electric bill.
Every dollar donated stays local, helping neighbors throughout the communities we proudly serve. Together, our members, employees, and community partners help ensure that assistance is available when it’s needed most.

Income Based Weatherization Assistance
Income based weatherization assistance is offered by Pierce County Human Services through a partnership with Peninsula Light Company.
Energy conservation measures may include: insulation, air sealing, and heating system upgrades known to reduce energy use.

Energy Assistance Program (EAP)
The Energy Assistance Program (EAP) pays heating bills directly to utility companies for eligible applicants. Payments are based on eligible household’s fuel usage for the past 12 months and income.
