Professional Experience & Leadership
Scott Junge’s tenure as a current Board member, combined with his broad business background, makes him uniquely positioned to keep rates low while maintaining high reliability and customer service. Scott has invested in specialized industry training, earning both the Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) and the Board Leadership Certificate (BLC).
He is proud to be a part of the team that moved Peninsula Light into the national first quartile for reliability and member services. Scott’s commitment to excellence is proven. He currently serves as Treasurer and has previously served as President, Secretary, and Chair of several vital committees, including Goals, Long-Range Planning, and Policy/Bylaws.
Community Service & Local Impact
A dedicated community builder, Scott helped form the Peninsula Metropolitan Park District, serving for 12 years as a Park Commissioner (including two terms as President). His local leadership includes:
• Gig Harbor Rotary Club & Foundation: Past President; recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award and Rotarian of the Year.
• Chamber of Commerce: Served two terms on the Board; honored as Businessperson of the Year.
• Board Roles: Rosedale Hall, YMCA Task Force, and the Harbor History Museum Task Force.
Personal
Residents and members since 1986, Scott and his wife, Lyn, are the owners of Rosedale Gardens Nursery and Landscape. They are the proud parents of four and grandparents of five. Scott considers it an honor to serve his fellow members and is dedicated to ensuring Gig Harbor remains the best place to live and raise a family.
