Peninsula Light Company Hosts Annual Legislative Luncheon

Peninsula Light members at the annual legislative luncheonElected officials from the 26th Legislative District and beyond attended the return of the annual Peninsula Light Company luncheon last month at Ocean5. CEO Jafar Taghavi provided a company update for state Senator Emily Randall and state Representatives Jesse Young and Michelle Caldier. Gig Harbor City Tourism and Communications Director Laura Pettitt joined PenLight Board Members along with Pierce County Executive, Bruce Dammeier.

As part of the afternoon, PenLight Chief Resources Officer Ryan Redmond provided updates on legislative matters that affect the utility, including Snake River Dams and Clean Energy Transformation Act.

PenLight appreciates the working relationship it maintains with elected officials and looks forward to hearing their perspectives from discussions in Olympia and beyond.
