Peninsula Light Company Hosts Annual Legislative Luncheon

Elected officials from the 26th Legislative District and beyond attended the annual Peninsula Light Co. Legislative Luncheon last month at Ocean5. CEO Jafar Taghavi provided a company update for State Senator Emily Randall and State Representative Spencer Hutchins. Courtney Acoff, District Representative of Derek Kilmer, also joined the PenLight Board Members for the event.

As part of the luncheon meeting, PenLight’s Director of Energy Resources, Jacob Henry, provided updates on legislative matters that affect the utility, including the Snake River Dams and Clean Energy Transformation Act. Executive Director of Washington Rural Electric Cooperatives of America (WRECA), Paul Griffin, added to the discussion by introducing the group’s goals and initiatives.
