2023 Peninsula Light Co. Board of Directors election voting period is March 27 through April 24.
Members can expect to receive an envelope in March from Survey & Ballot Systems on behalf of PenLight that will include the ballot, annual meeting notice and candidate bios. This is will be separate from your monthly PenLight bill. Please complete the ballot as instructed, and return it using the included postage paid envelope to Survey & Ballot Systems. Ballots must be postmarked by 4 p.m. on April 24.
Because PenLight is an electric cooperative, member owned and operated, the democratic processes allows members to vote in the annual cooperative Board election. As a cooperative, we encourage members to voice their thoughts and ideas — you have the opportunity to vote in the Board of Directors election and attend the annual meeting, where election results for 3 open seats are announced.
Those who are elected to the Board of Directors are fellow members who represent you, and your voice, in how your electric utility is run. Ballots are mailed to PenLight members at the end of March and should be returned in the provided postage-paid return envelopes by April 24.
