Fox Island Fair Coming August 11

Tents, a crowd, and a tractor are seen in the backgroundThe Fox Island Fair is an island tradition, hosted by the Fox Island Community and Recreation Association (FICRA). Through the years, it has become the biggest community event of the year, featuring the popular music and food court. The fair is Saturday, August 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be hot dogs, burgers, kettle corn, ice cream, cobbler and more. There will be beer and wine gardens for adults. Live music on the stage will include Fox Island Ramblers, Ranger & the Rearrangers, Sarah Tweet, and BoobooLala.

Besides games and activities for the kids, you’ll enjoy craft booths, the popular raffle room, and the flower show. Don’t miss the special FI Emergency Preparedness and Citizens Patrol displays. An opening ceremony is at noon. The Fox Island Honor and Color Guard will present the colors, followed by the singing of the national anthem by Sarah Tweet and the “World’s Shortest Parade” to honor this year’s grand marshall(s).
