Election Voting Begins in March

The 2024 Peninsula Light Co. Board of Directors election voting period is March 25 through April 29. Members can expect to receive an envelope in March from Survey & Ballot Systems on behalf of PenLight that will include the ballot, annual meeting notice, and candidate bios. *This will be separate from your monthly PenLight bill* Please complete the ballot as instructed within, and return it using the included postage-paid envelope to Survey & Ballot Systems – must be postmarked by 4 p.m. on April 29.

Because PenLight is an electric cooperative, member-owned and operated, the democratic process allows members to vote in the annual cooperative Board election. As a cooperative, we encourage members to voice their thoughts and ideas — you have the opportunity to vote in the Board of Director’s election and attend the annual meeting, where election results for 3 open seats are announced.

Those who are elected to the Board of Directors are fellow members who represent you, and your voice, in how your electric utility is run. Ballots are mailed to PenLight members at the end of March and should be returned in the provided postage-paid return envelopes by the listed deadline.

The Board of Directors of Peninsula Light Company will hold the 99th Annual Meeting via virtual conference. The Annual Meeting will be held via conference line at 5:30 P.M. on Monday, May 6, 2024.

The annual meeting agenda will include a State of the Utility from CEO, Jafar Taghavi, announcement of the Board Election results, and presentation of the annual Treasurer’s report.
