Cody Kamke given his awardThe Office of Drinking Water recognizes the first full week in May as Drinking Water Week, recognizing public entities and individuals who are essential in ensuring citizens have safe, reliable drinking water.

This is especially important this year because of the pandemic. Successful public health outcomes rely on effective cooperation and partnerships among various regulatory and public entities.

Peninsula Light Co. Water Foreman Cody Kamke was awarded the Commitment to Excellence Award by the Office of Drinking Water for his hard work and dedication in providing safe and reliable drinking water. Cody demonstrates excellence in his work each day. His main concern is to provide safe and reliable drinking water to PenLight members.

Cody goes the extra mile to comply with state and local regulations. He ensures the water system is always in compliance.

Cody is a strong leader, teaching and sharing knowledge with his co-workers. He has an excellent work ethic and sets the example for his peers. His dedication and hard work are appreciated by all around him.
