Peninsula Light Co. earned three awards during the Northwest Public Power Association’s Communications & Energy Innovations Conference in September. PenLight was honored with a first-place plaque for Lights, our monthly member newsletter, and for the design and function of the Penlight.org. We also won a certificate of excellence for photography (second place).
The 24th annual ceremony was held September 20 during the Excellence in Communications banquet in Sacramento, California. The contest recognizes the top communications efforts from NWPPA member utilities and associations.
Out of four groups, PenLight was in Group C, the second largest, based on the number of meters a utility serves. The regional competition included organizations from the western United States and Canada.
