100th Annual Meeting: PenLight Board of Directors

At PenLight, your voice truly matters. As a member-owned electric cooperative, we place great value on the democratic process that allows every member to have a say in the direction of our utility. Our cooperative encourages members to actively engage in decision-making, and 1 of the most important ways to do this is by voting in our annual board of directors election.

PenLight operates on the principles of democratic member control, ensuring that each member has an equal say in how the cooperative is run. Our guiding principles, which shape our operations and culture, include:

  • Voluntary and Open Membership
  • Democratic Member Control
  • Members’ Economic Participation
  • Autonomy and Independence
  • Education, Training, and Information
  • Cooperation Among Cooperatives
  • Concern for Community

These principles reinforce the idea that PenLight is not just a utility service provider but a community-driven organization that puts the needs of its members first. By voting in the board of directors election, you directly contribute to the future of PenLight, ensuring that the decisions made reflect the collective interests of our cooperative members.
