PenLight is proud to support and sponsor The Waterfront Alliance’s Alliance Grant Program, providing an opportunity for waterfront businesses to apply for lighting project assistance.
The Alliance Grant Program is designed to give back and increase the economic vitality of our amazing business community.
The Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2008 to unite community and Waterfront District stakeholders to encourage economic vitality and preserve historic character.
The 2024 grant program has 2 rounds—January through June and July through December. In the first round of 2024, the Alliance awarded $7,000 in grant funds to local businesses. In the second round of funding, the Alliance will be awarding $13,000 in grant funds. PenLight is proud to provide specific grant donation funds which will be earmarked for lighting grants.
The grant program seeks to support businesses with funds for projects and improvements they need most. Therefore we are not limiting what types of projects businesses may apply for. Examples of projects that may be funded are listed on The Waterfront Alliance website.
PenLight was proud to participate in the grant review process along with the Alliance to award lighting grants to: HarborNest, Harbor Center, and Hawkins-Poe Real Estate. We look forward to participating in the next round to review other submitted lighting grant projects. To learn more and apply in 2025 visit the Grant Program page.
