Man putting an empty ballot in election boxAt PenLight, your vote matters.

Because PenLight is an electric cooperative, members have the opportunity to make their voices heard by voting in the Board of Directors election. PenLight is owned by our members. We encourage all members to voice their thoughts and ideas by attending the annual meeting, where election results for three open seats will be announced.

Members maintain equal status and work together for the good of the cooperative and community and adhere to these seven guiding principles:

  1. Voluntary and Open Membership
  2. Democratic Member Control
  3. Member Economic Participation
  4. Autonomy and Independence
  5. Education, Training and Information
  6. Cooperation Among Cooperatives
  7. Concern for Community

Elected Board members represent you and direct the management of your electric utility. Ballots are mailed to PenLight members at the end of March and should be returned in the provided postage-paid return envelopes by the listed deadline.

The annual meeting is Monday, May 4, at 5:30 p.m. at PenLight Headquarters – Second Floor 13315 Goodnough Drive NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98332
