Water System Options

What will work best for you?

Owned Systems

We'll take care of it.

An option for some peninsula residents is to transfer ownership of their system to PLC Water Services. Long-term costs of operating a system, regulatory requirements, bookkeeping, billing and other demands on your time time can become overwhelming. PLC Water Services, a part of your nonprofit cooperative, can offer some real advantages in terms of resources, efficiency and local accountability to the folks on your system. PLC acquisition of your system may provide you with the best solution.

Peninsula Light Co. Water Services, part of your locally-owned cooperative, provides attractive options and solutions to water owners in Pierce, Kitsap and Mason counties. Whether you operate a smaller Group B water system (2 to 14 connections), or a larger, Group A water system (15 connections or greater), PLC Water Services' skilled and well-equipped staff can provide complete solutions.

Managed Systems

Less headache for you.

Another option is to enter into a managed services contract with PLC. With a managed services contract, you retain ownership, but Water Services handles the operation of your water system, including maintenance, water quality testing, emergency response, regulatory compliance, and billing. PLC Water Services can even provide your customers the added convenience of combined water/power billing, reducing your bookkeeping costs. As a local, member-owned co-op, PLC Water Services offers enhanced responsiveness and accountability to the members we serve.

Jobbing Services

Just need some help?

For system operators who prefer to retain ownership and management of their systems, Water Services provides "jobbing services," which includes water quality testing, water quantity testing, installations, upgrades and other maintenance services. Think of PLC Water Services as an added resource to augment your own capabilities.
