Rate Schedule Classifications
PenLight is an industry leader and serves the community by providing electricity at some of the lowest residential electricity rates nationwide. PLC’s residential rates are as low as 7c/kWh which is half of the average electric rates in Washington state—and 1/3 of the US average. Moreover, Washington ranks 2nd in the US for lowest average residential energy rates, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. This is because Washington generates more electricity from hydropower than any other state and accounts for 31% of the nation’s total utility-scale hydroelectric generation as of 2022.
Our rates are determined by the classification your service falls into: Residential, General or Commercial.
