Peninsula Light Company offers very competitive wages and a robust benefits package. Union employees earn two times their hourly rate for overtime and three times their hourly rate for overtime on holidays.
Two Retirement Plans
In 2011, PenLight is contributing approximately 25 percent of the employees base salary and employees contribute 7.5 percent of their base salary.
PenLight matches up to 3 percent of the base salary of employee's contributions.
PenLight pays 50 percent of the premium (covers 2/3 of the annual base salary).
Group Life Insurance
PenLight pays 50 percent of the premium (covers two times base salary).
Business Travel Accident Insurance
PenLight pays 100 percent of the premium (covers $100,000).
Medical and Vision (Regence Enhanced E100)
Single employee premium share is $45.00 pre-tax per month.
Employee family premium share is $90.00 pre-tax per month.
Dental (Washington Dental Service)
PenLight pays 100 percent of the premium for employees and dependents.
Employees begin with two weeks annually, increasing to a maximum of six weeks after 28 years of employment.
There are 11 PenLight paid holidays.
Each employee receives two paid bereavement days.
Union employees accrue one sick leave day per month. Exempt employees earn Paid Time Off (PTO) accruals.
