PenLight Benefits

Salary

Peninsula Light Company offers very competitive wages and a robust benefits package. Union employees earn two times their hourly rate for overtime and three times their hourly rate for overtime on holidays.

Two Retirement Plans

RS Pension
In 2008, PenLight is contributing 16.55 percent of the employees base salary and employees contribute 6 percent of their base salary.

401K Plan
PenLight contributes 2-1/2 percent of base salary plus an additional 1/2 percent if the employee contributes the minimum of 1 percent.

Group Plans

Long-Term Disablility
PenLight pays 50 percent of the premium (covers 2/3 of the annual base salary).

Group Life Insurance
PenLight pays 50 percent of the premium (covers two times base salary).

Business Travel Accident Insurance
PenLight pays $50,000.

Health Plans

Medical and Vision (Regence Selections Plan S100)
Single employee premium share is $30.00 pre-tax per month.
Employee family premium share is $60.00 pre-tax per month.

Dental (Washington Dental Service)
PenLight pays 100 percent of the premium for employees and dependents.

Vacation/Sick Leave/Holidays

Vacation
Employees begin with two weeks annually, increasing to a maximum of six weeks after 28 years of employment.

Holidays
There are 11 PenLight paid holidays.

Bereavement
Each employee receives two paid bereavement days.

Sick Leave
Union employees accrue one sick leave day per month. Exempt employees earn Paid Time Off (PTO) accruals.
